St Joseph's debutante ball

16 Sep, 2009 11:07 AM
Fifteen young ladies walked the red carpet at the Memorial Hall on Friday night to meet the Reverend Doctor J.P. Carey and Matron of Honour Betty Quirk as they made their debut.

Around 420 guests attended the masquerade themed ball and applauded as the debutantes and their partners took to the dance floor to put a glittering end to six weeks of training, dance deportment and etiquette.

Organisers said the ball was again very well supported and a successful fundraiser for the St Joseph’s School.

Debutantes and their partners included: Amanda Carpenter and Elliot Daly, Sarah Watson and Matthew Krahe, Lauren Gilbey and Daniel Roberts, Jessica Shearer and Jack Cowin, Delta Folkes and Brodie Carmichael, Tara Tapscott and Ben Johnston, Sanchez Graham and Jake Adam, Melissa Ware and Matthew Duff, Stephanie Sommerlad and Benjamin Stranieri, Danielle Ware and Jim Loneragan, Carissa McQueen and Stephen Martin, Annabel Overell and Mitchel Hynes, Lauren Nye and Cameron Sommerlad, Katie McMeniman and Matthew Murphy and Ellie Duck and Luke West.

The debutantes and their partners were attended by flower girls Tia Campbell and Alanna Melling and page boys Tyson Kelly and Trent Pulford.
