Ten FM surprised Marion with a celebration following her show on Friday.
She was presented with a framed certificate for being an outstanding member and volunteer by Tenterfield Shire mayor Peter Petty and council general manager Lotta Jackson.
Marion said she had no clue what was going on when she saw the crowd waiting outside the radio studio.
“I knew I hadn’t won lotto,” she said.
She said it had been “her pleasure” to be a volunteer at the radio station since 1989.
The celebration was held as part of Volunteer Week 2013 which ran from May 13 to 19.
