The AGM was held in June. A big thank you given to the 2012/2013 committee members for all their efforts and a new committee was elected for the coming season.
Scott Koch elected president, Krys McKinley vice-president, Leah Kernot secretary, Toni McAlister treasurer, Vicki Zappa and Amanda Rudge club coaches and Jessica Lockwood, Leah Kernot and Toni McAlister assistant club coaches.
The club is already off to a productive start with a fundraising wood raffle this Saturday to raise enough money to assist with a proposed fresh new face for the club house, new equipment and some fun stuff for the kids.
It is going to be a huge season with training for the club kids bumped up to a proposed five mornings a week 7am to 8am with the follow through of local and district carnivals. We are hoping for the re-introduction of the very famous Black and Gold local swimming carnival, the fun filled community event of the Mercantile and many more development days for the kids and members.
The club has agreed it’s important to give the club house a well-deserved coat of paint and upgrade training equipment, such as flippers and boards, giving our kids the best opportunity to enjoy and excel in the summer season.
The club is really excited to welcome new and present members.
Attention will be spent on correction of strokes, endurance, carnivals and confidence building. We welcome all, from beginners to the aquatics, to the serious athletes.
Should you require any information regarding the club, please do not hesitate to contact any of the committee members.
Stay tuned for more exciting pre-season information and events. Bring on summer.
