“Soccer is a great activity for boys and girls to get involved in as it helps develop skills, improve fitness and make new friends,” Mark Thomas from the Junior Soccer Association said.
This year Football Federation Australia launched MiniRoos, a fun and engaging introduction to football for boys and girls aged 4-11 years.
To register your child - go to www.myfootballclub.com.au and follow the registration options online.
“For anyone comfortable with navigating the web this is a simple process and should only take a few minutes to process,” Mr Thomas said
Payments cannot be made online and will need to be handled manually on the two registration days planned next week, on Friday, April 11 between 3.30pm-5.30pm and the following morning on Saturday, April 12 between 9am-12pm.
“The registrations will take place at Shirley Park and fees are the same as last season, $75 for Under 12s and $90 for youth players. Payment must be received for players to be eligible to play so put these dates in your diary.
“And while your are registering your child don’t forget to sign up and help out the club in any number of ways, from coaching a team or helping set up on Saturday mornings through to volunteering to support the canteen,” Mr Thomas said.
“The more volunteers we have the smoother the season will run for our children.”
Once registrations are finalised it is anticipated that the season will commence on Saturday, May 3.
“Tenterfield Junior Soccer Association is also on Facebook, so join our social network to keep informed of the latest news and information.
“It should be a great season so register today and make sure soccer remains strong in Tenterfield,” Mr Thomas said.
