Facilitated by marketing and advertising guru, Greg Alder, the workshops were attended by a combined total of 68 business people.
The workshops were delivered free for businesses within the Tenterfield Shire and were an initiative of the Tenterfield Shire Council, supported by Tenterfield and District Business Association and Small Biz Connect NSW.
“Following the workshops, feedback has been very positive and many ideas being discussed, with enthusiasm to get connected being uppermost in participant's minds,” Tenterfield Shire mayor Peter Petty said.
“While the workshops were a great source of inspiration it is up to individual business to take the next step and actively market their businesses to a much wider customer base,” he said.
The workshop discussed “embracing the digital age” as well as finding a niche, branding, telling a story and was followed by a special 100 business innovations in 100 minutes breakfast session.
Public Officer for the Tenterfield and District Business Association, Ben Silver, said local businesses could be pleased with their input.
“It was positive to see the number of participants involved in this venture,” he said.
Another key theme discussed was the power of collaboration, working together to develop marketing strategies for business promotions and events management.
Cr Petty said the latest workshop demonstrated council’s commitment to local industry.
