Bronya Schoner, 36, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm over a crash at the intersection of Whiskey Gully Road and the New England Highway in February this year.
The crash claimed the life of a much-loved Tenterfield woman and left her two daughters seriously injured.
Defence barrister Anthony Anderson told a Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday, April 2 that five witnesses testified that Ms Schoner had been driving on the wrong side of the road at the time of the crash.
Ms Schoner is alleged to have been driving while disqualified at the time of the accident.
It was also revealed that Ms Schoner had extensive criminal and driving offences against her name and had allegedly made comments about attempted self-harm the week before the crash.
