The event is part of this year’s Queensland Sunshine Tour Order of Merit for professional players.
Following rounds in Far North Queensland, Western Queensland and Papua New Guinea, the tour eventually lands in Northern NSW.
The event will also cater for 90 amateur players who will compete in their own tournament.
Michael Manser has been handed the role of Tournament Director and he is certain it will be a successful affair.
“The support that is given to up and coming professional golfers through the Queensland Sunshine Tour is invaluable – many leading Australian players learnt their craft on the tour,” Mr Manser said.
The format for the event is one pro golfer and three amateurs per group.
The professionals will play a stroke event, the amateurs a single stableford while a team event will be held in conjunction.
“Very few people get the opportunity to play beside an elite player in any sport but golf allows them to do so in a very competitive atmosphere."

Locals have been given first dibs on places for the Pro Am with Mr Manser saying he has approached 70 other clubs about participating.
Showcasing the strength of local golf, Mr Manser said the club were approached by the Queensland PGA co-ordinator to hold the event.
With nominations for amateur positions coming from as far afield as Bellingen and Brisbane, Mr Manser is hopeful of drawing a significant amount of tourism dollars to the town.
He said it will give the town a “tourism boost” with hundreds expected to roll in for the event on Monday, September 8.
“This will be an excellent opportunity to promote Tenterfield and the Tenterfield and District tourist attractions,” he said.
“I’m certainly hoping it will be a successful event.”
The event is open to all men and women amateur golfers with a current Golflink number.
Nominations will close on August 25 and there is a $40 fee which includes the game and a lunch.
“Spectators are welcome to attend, free of charge, to watch some of the leading up and coming professional golfers in the country,” Mr Manser said.
The event is a shotgun start commencing from 9am with more information available from Michael Manser on 6736 4369
