The ladies will take on Ballandean at the International Club on Saturday while the colts face up against Ballandean at C.F White Oval on Sunday.
This season’s final home games were played out in damp, cold conditions on Saturday afternoon.
The men’s side put on one of the performances of their season with a narrow 3 – 2 loss to a strong Stanthorpe City team.
“It was a really good game – probably the best we’ve played all year."
- coach, Stan Hickey
An unlucky error late in the game gifted City a penalty and clinched the game for the fourth placed side.
The girls would of hoped for better preparation going into Saturday’s big clash but a resilient City side held them to a 1 – 1 draw.
“The girls were a little lethargic and probably weren’t quite on their game,” Hickey said.
The colts rounded out regular season fixtures by thumping an understrength City side.
An 8 – 1 win leaves the side in good stead for their fixture against Ballandean.
“I gave them a few strong words at training and they came with their game faces,” Hickey said.
“We never held back and will go into the semi-final with some form,” he said.
Tenterfield colts played out a 5 – 4 victory against Ballandean only two weekends ago and will go into the game brimming with confidence.
In Saturday’s other two major semi-final games Stanthorpe United will play Warwick in both colts and A Grade while Sunday’s minor semi-final’s see’s United and City play off in the girls game while Ballandean and City play the men’s clash.
