The club brought along close to 30 bowlers for the weekend’s activity.
“It’s very debatable who won,” Tenterfield Bowls director Dick Peters said.
“It was more about comradery and enjoyment.”
Mr Peters said the annual visit has become an anticipated weekend on their bowling calendar.
Forty players joined in on Saturday with 48 the following day.
“They all had a whale of a time and promised that they will return next year.”
Earlier in the year a Tenterfield contingent travelled up to Sunnybank for a weekend.
The group’s sixth visit to town has helped build a few friendships and Mr Peters said they’re always welcome.
“We’ve gotten to know most of them pretty well now – it was a very enjoyable weekend,” he said.
Tenterfield will welcome a group from Woodburn on October 18 for a similar set of games.
“This is their second visit and we’ll play on the Saturday and Sunday.”
In other results the ladies group held their Gala Day on Wednesday with 14 teams playing.
Teams from Goondiwindi, Warwick, The Summit, Tannymorel and Warwick East travelled to town for the event.
Winners for the day were Joy Bailey’s team with a score of 28 and runners-up were Sandra Williams’s team with 27.
Raffles went to The Summit and Tannymorel.
Ladies triples are to be played in the next few weeks with games falling a bit behind.
Coming up on October 19 is Warwick’s P/M Day, while October 23 is Gala 4’s at The Summit and October 30 is mixed Gala Triples at Clifton.
Notices of motions must be to the Secretary by October 29 and need to be pinned on the notice board.
