With three weekends dedicated to local competition, Tenterfield now find themselves second in the points tally behind the Inverell club.
Glen Innes, Tenterfield, Emmaville and Inverell compete against one another throughout October and November.
Inverell currently has 947 points, Tenterfield 828, Glen Innes 799 and Emmaville have 298 after three days of competition starting with the Glen Innes hosted competition on October 11.
“There was good weather, the grounds were good, the kids had lots of fun but I’m pleased it’s over,” Tenterfield Pony Club treasurer Libby Sharpe said.
“We were on an even par with Inverell but they over took us on Sunday.”
Ms Sharpe said the event was well attended and continued Tenterfield’s proud tradition of hosting the event over the years.
Owing to Emmaville’s lack of facilities, the club ran their day on Sunday in conjunction with Tenterfield’s Saturday event.
Tenterfield recorded the highest points tally on Saturday while Inverell won day two.
