“We’re very proud,” SHMPS assistant principal Stephen Manser said.
“Fletcher has become a very capable rider.”
Fletcher has been in the saddle since he was only five years old and this month rode his hors Pebbles to be named 9 year Boys Reserve Champion at the Glen Innes High School Horse Sports at Glencoe.
Mr Manser said the level of achievement is a credit to the local Pony Club where Fletcher trains to compete across the region.
Fletcher travelled to Inverell on Friday, November 7, to collect his most recent swag of accolades, adding two first placings, as well as a fourth and fifth, at the Macintyre Horse Sports competition.
He competed in both the flags and pairs events, among others, and amassed honours for collecting five flags and performing commendably in the pair of riders event.
