THE first round of the Short Circuit Motorsport Association Super Sprints and Short Circuit Touring car series was held at Morgan Park Raceway at Warwick earlier this month.

Ten Tenterfield drivers entered the event with a total of 141 competitors entered over all classes.
Neal O’Reilly in his Mini won the sports sedan 0 – 2000 cc class with Dave Hayne coming in 4th and Todd Hayne 6th in the Improved Production 0 – 1600 cc class in there Hyundai’s.
In the improved production over 4500cc class Peter Cowley placed 4th while Dana Cowley came in 9th in there Monaro.
In the all-wheel drive class Troy Gordon placed 5th in his new Mitsubishi Evo.
Rex Blaikie made his debut in the sprints with his new Clubman and placed 6th in the sports cars 1501 – 2000cc class.
Kylie and Stephen Roos entered their new Mazda RX8 and placed 2nd and 3rd in the Sports Cars 2000- 3000 cc class.
Sheridan Layt placed second in her Subaru Impreza in the Junior Class.
The next round will be held on the 23rd / 24th May at Morgan Park Raceway Warwick.
