The local team are urging people to head along and witness the inner workings of the station first-hand.
The Logan St station will be open from 10am – 2pm with anyone and everyone encouraged to meet their local firefighters and learn more about fire prevention.
“With winter approaching, Open Day is a timely opportunity to talk to the experts about home fire safety,” Station Commander John Gray said.
“Winter is the worst time of the year for home fires, with 60 per cent of all house fires occurring in the cooler months of May to September.”
A range of free activities will be on offer, including firefighting demonstrations, station tours and presentations.
Other prevention tips will be offered for anyone wanting to avert disaster.
“Talk to our firefighters face to face about simple safety tips you can use to ensure you and your family escape a fire quickly and safely.”
Mr Gray said it would also be opportunistic for people wanting to put their hand up and offer their services to the local crew.
With numbers fluctuating all the time Mr Gray said they were always keen to get new people on board.
Kids will also have the chance to check out the fire trucks and participate in demonstrations.
