Sir Henry Parkes Primary School P & C group and the Tenterfield Swim Club will share in $3,000.
Over the life of the group, the Oracles of the Bush committee have given away approximately $40,000 to local organisations.
Last year they presented $2,200 to the Tenterfield Child Care Centre to revamp their outdoor play area.
Oracles committee president Jann Newman said it was pleasing to be able to return favours.
Each year groups write to the committee expressing a desire to share in the money – in turn they help out during Oracles of the Bush.
“The gist is we swap money and they help us move chairs, wash floors – there is always so much to do during the event so it is good for us,” Ms Newman said.
“Sometimes we sit back and think thank God for these people.”
The groups are yet to decide on where to allocate the money with the P & C pouring over a “long wish-list” while the Swim Club suggested they could purchase equipment or new stop watches.
“Sometimes I wonder why we don’t get more people nominating for it,” Jann said.
In September the Oracles committee will be putting out requests for local groups to submit applications for next year’s round of donations.
Ms Newman said it was an easy process to navigate and they were hopeful of attracting greater interest this time around.
“We get them to submit an application and come to a committee meeting and we’ll make a decision from there.”
A system that benefits both equally Ms Newman said.
