This is not Gallagher’s first time in New Zealand after making the trip previously to play with the under 16’s country side.
With only two games, this trip is slightly less hectic, but the turnaround of only a week has seen a busy lead up to the trip.
Gallagher said renewing a passport in a week has been a challenge, but he was excited for the trip.
“I’m really looking forward to the trip,” he said.
“It’ll be great to meet new people and make friends.
Playing prop for both games, Gallagher is ready for the challenge after playing with the Northern Tigers and of course the Glen Innes Magpies.
“Everyone has been congratulating me,” he said.
The training schedule has not changed, however Gallagher feels ready for the challenge.
“I just want to play well and have fun over there,” he said.
“They’ll be big but pretty classy sides. It’ll just be really good experience.”
The squad of 17 players will be taking in the sites of Auckland on their week-long trip, with activities planned to see the Warriors stadium and to take a ride on the jet boats
