The under 8’s through to 16’s will don the same jerseys as their senior counterparts from March 2016 onward, when they’ll hold their first trial game.
They still plan to remain in the same competition which pits them against teams from Goondiwindi, Clifton and as far away as Millmerran.
“Parents enjoy getting away for the day,” Peter said.
Despite the lengthy travels the club are in a healthy position.
“We had record numbers last year.”
The club recently capped off their season with a presentation day and barbecue for all the clubs players, supporters, parents and volunteers.
Fraser Saccon walked away with the top prize, crowned Golden Bear for 2015.
Awards were presented by each coach across six age groups for most improved, most valuable, coach’s award and encouragement as well as recognising 11 players who played representative footy this year.
Luke Pitkin was awarded the KLAS development program trophy and along with Bede Aquilini and Kynan Koch will attend a camp later in the year.
Most valuable player awards were given to Jaykeem Binge in under 8’s, Jayden Swan (under 9’s), Braith Clark (under 10’s), Isaac Jones (under 12’s), Tyler Sergeant (under 13’s) and Jack Pittis-Wilson in under 16’s.
