Hundreds of parents and supporters are expected to pour into the school grounds on Friday night to see the students perform renditions of carol favourites.
The kids have been busily preparing around the clock as they put the finishing touches on Friday’s showcase.
True to their tradition, there will also be a variety of calypso carols according to principal Cherie Yates.
“The students prepare the singing of both traditional carols and a variety of calypso carols. The religious story is told through verse and song.
“Mr Grant Ovenden, Murray Hovey and Mrs Melissa Bloom will accompany the children. Piano and trumpets will ring out across our school playground,” Ms Yates said.
Over 200 people turned out for last year’s event and Cherie said they were hopeful of a similar figure.
Ms Yates said this time of year is a period all the students look forward to.
“The Tenterfield community are very welcome to join our parents and friends.
“We will commence with a barbecue at 6pm, followed by the pageant at 7pm. Please bring a fold up chair or rug to place on the grass.
“In the event of a thunderstorm we will move to the school hall,” she said.
