On Friday, February 5, students donned their swimming caps, jumped in the pool and took on their mates for their respective sporting houses.
“Participation was extremely high, with most students giving all events a go,” a school spokesperson said.
“We had one record broken on the day. Fletcher Koch now holds the 11-year-old boys free style record with 22.66 seconds.”
SHPMS will hold a presentation on Friday to announce the winning sporting house and to hand out trophies.
The school will now send 35 students to Glen Innes on February 19 to compete in the Northern New England Zone Swimming Carnival.
