Tenterfield turned on beautiful weather for local families to celebrate National Families Week, and the families of Tenterfield Preschool celebrated the conclusion of a whole week of activities with a healthy outing to Jubilee Park last Friday.

Dietitian Charlotte Bush spoke to the kids on healthy eating, until they were released onto the play equipment so Ms Bush could speak to the parents on nifty ways to get good nutrition into lunchboxes.
The preschool threw its doors open all week for parents to visit at any time to join in on activities.
“Some came for lunch, some came for morning tea, some just came to play,” preschool super-visor Kerryn de Jonge said, noting that a good number of parents had taken up the opportunity to see what their children get up to during the day.
The park outing also coincided with National Walk to School Day, and the preschoolers walked to and from the park as one of several excursions they go on each year, Ms de Jonge said.
