Taylor played for the Casino netball association in the three day competition in Wollongong.
Playing out of her normal position of goal attack, Taylor played a key role in goal defence which saw her side earn top place.
Taylor began playing netball when she was five and said winning the title was a great reward for putting in endless hours on the training paddock.
She was thankful for the support she has received in the sport and was proud to have represented the region.
“It is a long haul with training throughout the year, twice a week,” she said.
“Finally getting there feels like it has all payed off.
“The experience and when you win a game, the feeling of pride for yourself and your team.
“I have worked my way up and played every year.
“We couldn’t really have done any of it without the coaches, the officials, umpires and commitment of our parents in driving us to and from games.”
Lexi Taylor Taylor spends plenty of time on the court with her team currently sitting second in the local Casino league.
Her team won last year’s competition and she hoped her experience from playing at state level will help her side claim back-to-back titles.
