Mrs Sindel’s collection entitled Foliage, Feathers & Flowers embodies botanical and wildlife works in watercolour and coloured pencil, and the results draw the viewer into her natural world.
Mrs Sindel said in her artist’s statement that she has always been interested in botany and animals, and in painting.
“However it was only after retiring in 2002 from a career in education that I incorporated these into wildlife and botanical art,” she said.
“Gardening, bush walking and observing native wildlife helped me develop this interest and I now endeavour to capture the living world in my art.
“It is the fine detail and colour that I admire, and I quite like the clarity and precision needed in this art and illustration.”
Mrs Sindel’s exhibition continues until Thursday, September 15.
