Regional and outer metropolitan locations for the concerts change each year to allow seniors in different NSW communities to attend. This year’s concert is themed Next Stop….Christmas, and will be held at the Lismore City Hall on Friday, November 25 at 10am and 1pm.
Mr George said it is great the NSW Government is bringing the free concerts to Lismore, giving locals the opportunity to enjoy the show and sing along to Christmas carols. Concerts are also being held in Bathurst on November 21 and Wollongong on December 5.
“The Seniors Christmas Concerts are the NSW Government’s way of saying thank you to older people in our local community who have done so much for us all,” Mr George said.
“I encourage locals who are over 60 to book their complimentary tickets so they don’t miss out.”
Free tickets are also available for Aboriginal people, 50 years or over and people with lifelong disability.
“The Seniors Christmas Concerts are always a sensational show, full of classic hits that we all love and enjoy,” Minister for Ageing John Ajaka said.
