Numbers increased by 57 head this fortnight for a yarding of 395 head. Cattle were once again mixed in a market that followed the softening trend of all centres, easing by 5 to 20 cents. Steers sold to a top of 300 cents and bullocks 279.2. Light cows continue to attracted strong restocker competition topping at 233.2 cents, medium cows sold to 240 cents whilst heavy weights topped at 248.2 cents. Heifers bucked the trend to be dearer, selling to 379.2 cents. The trade cattle were least effected in the cheaper market with light Angus steers selling to 436.2 cents whilst heifers sold to 377.2 cents. Bulls topped at 274.2 cents.
