Offered by Jim and Yvonne Benton, the property was bought by Tim and Gina Fairfax, who own the adjoining Strathbogie Station.
Reedy Creek is described as having chocolate and red basalt soils with areas of trap soils. About 60 per cent of the property has previously been cultivated. There are areas suitable for summer and winter forages, cereals and legume crops.
Well watered by 13 dams, Swamp Oak Creek and automated reticulation system, the property is divided into 12 main paddocks plus holding paddocks.
Reedy Creek carries 180 breeding cows and is also described as suited to backgrounding and fattening cattle or sheep breeding and fattening. There are a set of Weean design steel cattle yards, a machinery shed, and sheep yards.
