Anyone aged 17 years or older interested in playing A grade is being encouraged to come along to Rugby League Park at 6.30pm and have a run.
Brendan Minns has been named captain/coach after the defection of last year’s coach Chris Battersby to the Wallangarra Rams (which should create some interesting local derbies), and Minns said he’s looking forward to a good year.
The first training run on Tuesday will also act as a meet-and-greet and sign-on, gearing up for the round robin competition which starts in late March.
“I’m excited about the year ahead, and hopefully it will be another great year for the Tigers,” Minns said.
Last season’s minor premiers fell just short of taking out the grand final, losing in the decider against Inglewood. This season they hope to go one better.
