One hundred and sixty-seven riders from the 10 clubs around the region travelled to the three-day competition, hosted this year by the local club.
Tenterfield Pony Club’s outgoing president, Jamie O’Neill, said the whole event ran without a hitch.
"It all went really well,” he said.
"The weather was hot the first two days.
"The rain came good on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon after everyone finished.
"It ran really well and it finished on time every day and we got out of the grand parade by 4.30pm.”
The club spent many hours preparing the grounds and organising the jamboree.
O’Neill said members of other clubs were impressed by the smooth running of the daily activities and classes.
"We prepared with a lot of hard work the weekend before with some really good committee involvement,” he said.
"A real good committee made it happen.
"The majority of all the clubs came up and thanked me personally for running it and it was a really well run weekend they all said.”
Glen Innes took out the major award, winning the club trophy, 61 points ahead of Guyra.
Tentefield finished in third place on 480 points.
Tenterfield’s Fletcher Koch won the 11 and under 13 boys’ pointscore.
Chloe Butler and Jacob Cox were named reserve champions in the 15 and under 17 category.
O’Neill said the club did better than he expected.
"I was expecting we would be about fifth because we have a lot of young kids and new kids,” he said.
"We held our own, Tenterfield did, for a little club.”
While the younger riders dominated their categories, O’Neill was impressed by the efforts of the associate riders.
He said they hadn’t included associates in recent competitions but some came back especially for this event.
"Two girls finished last year but they came back and rode this year as associates,” he said.
"We hadn't had an associate team in nine years so it was good to see Tenterfield had a couple of associates there.”
The jamboree marked the end of the competitive season for all clubs and they now shift back into rally days.
Next year’s jamboree will be hosted by Guyra Pony Club.
