Bouncers batted first with their star player Mick Parker retiring not out with yet another 50 runs. Steve Brown also played well contributing 34 runs to the total of 2 for 140. The XI Ducks ran into some quality bowling and were all out for 64 in the 9th over. The two highest run scorers were Jayson Murphy and Mitch Austin with 16 and 12 runs respectively. Cameron Bolton had a pearler of a game getting 2/2 while Nathan Brownrigg took 2/8.
Thursday night saw the Slammers (1/55) defeat the Royals (all out for 50). The Royals opened the batting with Dave Fowler who as the highest run scorer managed 6 runs. Bruce Binge had a ripper spell in the first innings scoring 2 wickets for 9 runs as well as a catch and was backed up by near perfect bowling from Dylan Thrift who exceptionally managed to take 2 wickets, conceding a measly 1 run.
