Westpac charity golf day
11am shotgun start for the four-person ambrose at Tenterfield Golf Club, featuring former test cricketer Jeff Thomson. Lots of fun and dress-ups, and an auction at the end of the day along with the major raffle of a two-night stay the The Ramada Ballina. Cost is $35, and bookings at the Golf Club prior to the day are essential.

St Patrick’s Day dinner at Steinbrook Hall
Celebrate the day of green in a country atmosphere with great company when Steinbrook Hall hosts a St Patrick’s Day dinner and dance. $30 tickets buy Guiness pie and veggies followed by dessert, plus a light supper. Deepwater one-man show
The Fall of the Roman Umpire is on at the The Deepwater School of Arts. Performed by actor Dennis Coard (star of Home and Away), the play is an autobiographical piece depicting his early life in Ireland, emigration to Australia and his young adulthood as a Telecom technician before “throwing away a good career” to go to drama school at age 35. Tickets are $35 including the show and supper provided by Deepwater Red Cross, with the bar operating. Doors open at 6.30pm with the performance kicking off at 8pm and supper will be provided by the wonderful ladies from the Deepwater Red Cross.
