If you play golf just one day a year, this is the day as the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Charity Golf Day at the Tenterfield Golf Club rolls around again, this year on Thursday, March 9.
While supporting a good cause (that someone you love may need in a hurry one day) it’s a chance to win some great prizes and have a fun day out.
The cost is $35, which includes lunch, giveaways, green fees and three golf balls.
It’s four-person ambrose with an 11am shotgun start, and it’s more for laughs than for reducing handicaps. The participant that does manage to land one nearest the pin on any of the par 3 holes, however, cold be in for a $500 prize.
At the end of the day there will be an auction of items generously donated, with local businesses supporting the event as always. The major raffle, drawn on the day, is a two-night stay at The Ramada Ballina, worth more than $300.
Also finding his way onto a green of a different kind will be guest player/speaker, former Australian cricket fast bowler Jeff Thomson.
Bookings are essential at the Golf Club prior to the day.
