With plenty of ANZAC Day commemoration activities planned throughout the shire on April 25, councillors are taking a divide-and-conquer approach to having council represented at each of the services.

As is tradition, mayor Peter Petty will attend the 5.30am Dawn Service at Tenterfield Memorial Hall, followed by a service at the cemetery. He along with Councillor Gary Verri will attend the service at Legume Cemetery later that morning at 8am (time to be confirmed), with Cr Verri continuing on to the Urbenville service at 9.30am, and the Liston service.
Cr John Martin will join Cr Petty at the Mingoola service, with arrangements yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile Cr Tom Peters will be at the Dawn Service at Torrington, Cr John Macnish and Cr Bronwyn Petrie at Drake’s 6pm Dawn Service, and Cr Brian Murray and Cr Don Forbes at the Wallangarra/Jennings service.
