After our well-attended monthly meeting 13 of our cars participated in a mystery run around Tenterfield which included Woodside, the Sunnyside Loop Rd and concluded with an excellent luncheon at the Maze.
We were honoured to support the Anzac Day march with 13 vehicles including two WWII Blitz wagons. We are also committed to supply cars for this year’s high school Year 12 formal.
Plans for our biennial rally are progressing very well and our mid-week runs have continued with a drive to Glen Lyon Dam.
Following next month’s meeting there will be a run to Bald Rock for a picnic lunch. New members are always welcome but remember your car must be 30 years old. Contact president Warwick on (02) 6736 3445.
Car of the month
Model: 1986 Mazda 323 (1500cc)
Owner: Peter Spedding
History: Peter bought this car new in 1986 and has owned it ever since. It was used as a family run-about until 12 years ago when it was retired to the shed. It has only travelled 120,000km.
When Peter realised it was now eligible for classic rego he bought it out of retirement and joined the club.
