The races were run just before the rain became too heavy, and there was a lot of spirited competition as the finish line was crossed.
Ultimately Beth Phelps flew the flag for SHPMPS, coming runner-up in the junior girls after Sophie Watt. Junior boys was won by Howie Eastwood ahead of Sam Walsh. Big sister Maisie Eastwood won the 11 years girls ahead of Summer Cooper while Jack Duddy crossed the line first in the 11 years boys, followed by Oscar Knox.
Sally Chard and Charlie Lynn were the winner and runner-up respectively in the 12/13 years girls, and SHPMS runner Zephyr Horan and Koby Usmar were first and second in the boys’ division.
The winning school on the day was determined by points gained by those competing, divided by the population of the school. GIPS took home the shield.
