MP Thomas George said council's former chief executive Damien Connor was a driving force behind many local projects.

Member for Lismore Thomas George has expressed his dismay at news of the resignation of Tenterfield Shire Council’s chief executive officer Damien Connor, announced by mayor Peter Petty on Wednesday, June 14.

“I am disappointed to hear of Mr Damien Connor’s resignation as CEO of Tenterfield Shire Council (TSC),” Mr George said.

“In the short time he has been at Council Damien has been a driving force behind many local projects.

“I also want to publicly thank him and recognise his efforts in working with me and the Minister for Local Government in creating an opportunity for TSC to responsibly move forward into the future.”
