Preschool supervisor Kerryn de Jonge said the traditional custodians of the land are acknowledged each morning, as well as flying the Aboriginal flag and talking about what it represents. As a group the staff and children also look at the Aboriginal language map and discuss the different nations.
“We are working towards gaining more knowledge regarding Aboriginal culture because we believe knowledge and understanding is key for successful integration,” she said.
“If our preschool children can understand and appreciate our Aboriginal culture and history, a brighter Australia will be their future.”
