Recently TJSA has played friendly games against Stanthorpe Carlton Football Club and Stanthorpe City Football Club. These games have supported our players in developing their soccer skills. We have had fun playing different clubs.
Our club has been holding training every Wednesday afternoon and many of our players have been fine turning their skills to take on the games at our second carnival which was played in Warwick on the 23rd of July.
Tenterfield Junior Soccer played in our first carnival in Stanthorpe in June where we showed great skill and confidence in playing games together verse different clubs. Each of our players enjoyed the challenge and came off the field smiling.
We then travelled to Warwick where we showed great skill and confidence in all games. Our club played teams from Stanthorpe, Glen Innes, Goondiwindi, Toowoomba, and the host town of Warwick.
Our players showed commitment and determination in our Warwick carnival to win games and played with lot of heart. A big congratulation to our under 6’s and under 7’s on the way you worked together and scored goals. A massive congratulation to our under 9 team who went undefended in this carnival. All players have showed their talents throughout games and under the guidance of Simon Piccini proved hard work and determination can win games.
We travelled to Stanthorpe to play Stanthorpe United Football Club on Saturday 29th July. All players who played this game played with confidence. These games were friendly matches, and all of our player came off the field with smiles. We are also hosting Stanthorpe International Football Club on August 5th here in town at Shirley park. We then travel to Glen Innes on Sunday the 14th August to the Glen Innes carnival. We are also hosting our Mini Roos Carnival on Sunday the August 27th at Shirley park.
A massive thank you to all volunteers for supporting our club so far this season.
