Saturday's match against Ballandean was always going to be close, as it has been all season. In very warm conditions, both teams created many scoring opportunities only to be denied by some solid goal keeping.
Alana Condrick was making great runs at one end as was Anika Spiller at the other. Kirsty Beckett (Player of the Match) was strong in defence for Ballandean as was Amy Condrick for Tenterfield.
The deadlock could not be broken after 70 minutes and another 20 minutes ensued. Just before the break, Ballandean capitalised on a fumble error from Tenterfield's goalie and Spiller was positioned to slot what became the winning goal. Ballandean 1 defeating Tenterfield 0.
Congratulations to all the players for making the match a very entertaining contest for the crowd. Special mention to Bianca Melling, Candice Potter and Emma O'Brien for their gutsy performances.
Thank you to all the Tenterfield supporters who travelled up to the match and provided the ladies with an extra lift. We hope that you continue to follow all the Thunder teams next season.
