The Tregeagle farmer and father of two surrounded himself with family, friends and supporters to officially begin his campaign for the November 18 community vote.
“It is an exciting time for our community to have their say,” Mr Curtin said.
“Never before has our electorate had the opportunity to select their own candidate going forward to an election.
“I want to be your representative, someone who has your best interests in mind and someone who is ready to fight for you and your equal access to city services. I want to see our villages, towns and city growing together.
“When the communities of far northern NSW connect, we serve, support and sustain each other. Our agricultural, business, tourism, arts and service industries will all benefit.
“I’m passionate about attracting visitors west of the Pacific Highway to experience first-hand the beauty of our area, the warm hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit this region has to offer. Everyone gains from our growth and prosperity, especially the generations that will follow us.
“This is my aspiration for our electorate.”
