The AEC website allows people to check their enrollment details, enroll to vote or update their enrollment via a desktop or mobile device.
Alternatively, enrollment application forms are available at any AEC office or Australia Post outlet.
All Australian citizens aged 18 years and over living in the Division of New England are required by law to enroll and vote in the by-election.
Seventeen year-old Australians who live in New England and turn 18 on or before December 2 can enroll now and vote in the New England by-election.
All the candidates will be known next week, when the nominations are declared at midday on Friday, November 10.
