Your new company
Hays has partnered with a co-educational day and boarding school on the outskirts of Warwick QLD – looking to engage an experienced and professional Facilities Manager.

Your new role
The college operates two, one-hundred-year-old campuses comprising educational, residential, and co-curricular facilities and resources. As the Facilities Manager, you will lead the manage the organisation’s physical facilities and resources to ensure that they are maintained to a standard that enables the effective delivery of the college’s programs. With an emphasis on effective planning and project management, the Facilities Manager will oversee a program of scheduled and preventative maintenance as well as the management of the facilities projects. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance planning & reporting
  • Management of external contractors
  • Project management
  • Leading & developing people
  • Budget management
  • Vehicle Management
  • Work health & Safety

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. It would be preferable that the successful candidate has:

  • Effective design, planning and project management skills and experience associated with building programs and capital works delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a high level of confidence in working with IT systems and equipment in order to plan, manage and report on activities relevant to the position.
  • The ability to effectively lead and manage teams
  • The ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Relevant trade qualifications would be highly desirable

A working with children check (blue card) and a ‘C’ class drivers’ licence would be an essential requirement of this position.
