How will I help?

Our Membership Services (contact centre) team are our brand ambassadors, connecting with and giving the very best service to our loyal members. Every day will be different, but you’ll make a difference by:

  • Being the first to solve our members’ enquiries and/or concerns
  • Sharing your know-how of our products and services
  • Helping our members get the most out of their membership, making changes if requested
  • Understanding and following our policies and procedures.

What’s in it for me?
One of strengths here at Teachers Health Fund is our diversity! We enjoy being part of one big team, and encourage people from all walks of life, including people with a disability to apply for our roles. (You can request any support or reasonable adjustments that you may need to fully participate in the recruitment process.)
You’ll also benefit from:

• A generous six-week annual leave
• A hybrid work model after your probation period
• Subsidised Private Health Insurance
• A corporate wardrobe allowance
• Staff discounts on products and services
• Opportunities for ongoing training, development, and career progression.

What do I need?

This can sometimes be a demanding and busy role, which means you’ll definitely need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • The ability to work across multiple systems
  • Willingness to learn, and ability to meet output and quality KPl’s and competencies.
  • It’ll also be an advantage if you have:
  • Insurance knowledge and/or experience in complex customer-focused roles
  • Experience taking calls in a busy contact centre environment.

What’s it like to work there?

We love making a positive difference every day for our customers. And we do it as one big team. As Australia’s largest industry-based health insurer, we know what our members want and over 360,000 people are covered by us. Based in Surry Hills, we’re a one-stop shop for health insurance – plus eye care, dental, travel and general insurance too. And because we’re a not-for-profit health insurer, our members come first every time.
