The delayed start to the season for Tenterfield Junior Soccer Association was worth the wait as blues skies allowed for a great morning of entertaining football across all three divisions.

Thank you to everyone that helped with setting up, packing away and organising teams.
Without your support we would not be able to achieve everything that is required. Results from the weekend are as follows;
Division 1 – Mohawks 6 defeated Rangers 3, Trojans 1 drew with Wolves 1. Division 2 – Mohawks 2 defeated Rangers 0, Wolves 4 defeated Trojans 0, and Spartans 4 defeated Pirates 1. Division 3 results are not recorded as it is all about participation for our new players.
Additional registrations have forced the committee to review the team and divisional structure and make amendments to include these new players.
This has resulted in two additional teams being added to Division 3 and players in this division have been shuffled accordingly.
There have also been some minor changes to Division 1 and 2 so please check the list below to ensure you know which team your child is in.
Once again the situation will be reviewed after the weekend matches and your feedback is most welcome.

The canteen will offer a range of refreshments and will be operating from the bottom field, not from the clubhouse as in the past.
Volunteers looking at getting involved will be able to sign up to support the club in any number of ways, from coaching a team, to helping set up on Saturday mornings through to volunteering to support the canteen.
A couple of dates to put in the diary include a Grass Roots Football Certificate Course being held at Shirley Park on Sunday, May 24 from 10am – noon. This free course is a great introduction for any parent that would like to learn more about coaching and there will be a registration sheet at the canteen on Saturday.
There will also be a player registration sheet for the first of the regional carnivals being held at Warwick on Sunday, June 14. Carnivals are a great opportunity for our players to compete against teams from across the region and this Saturday will be the only opportunity to register before nominations are posted.
A final request is for volunteers to help at the Lions Club Cracker Night on Saturday, June 6.
The Lions Club very generously supports our soccer carnival later in the year and in return I ask that people make themselves available for an hour or so to support this great community event. Please put your name down at the canteen if you are able to help out.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding during these first few weeks. For more information go to our Facebook page or contact Mark Thomas on 0404 892 696.
