“This new infrastructure and equipment will ensure Ten FM can broadcast to a wider area and continue to keep the rural communities connected and informed,” Mr George said.
“I am pleased the Premier Mike Baird has seen the necessity of this project to the local community and delivered this much needed funding.”
Ten FM president Peter van Schaik welcomed this grant which will ensure that residents in and around Drake will have a strong radio signal from Ten FM.
"In this information age, it's not acceptable that a rural centre like Drake has little access to basic services such FM radio,” he said.
“This grant will cement ties between Tenterfield and Drake and provide information and music for years to come to the population in and around Drake."
