The KLAS Bouncers have cemented their lead on the top of the ladder after a convincing win against the Telegraph Slammers last Wednesday night. Danny Potter and Steve Brown scored most of the runs for the team contributing 47 and 39 runs each to the total of 8/151.

Bruce Binge had a blinder of a game for the Slammers, taking two wickets for 10 runs along with two catches as well. Adam McIntosh also played well taking 2/26 and running out Neil Savins from the Bouncers. The second innings saw the Slammers chasing a large total which proved hard to beat after the team was all out in 8.3 overs.
James Jerome and Jarrod McIntosh were the highest run scorers making 16 runs apiece towards their total of 9/58. Mick Parker fielded exceptionally well with two catches and two wickets conceding only five runs. Cameron Bolton was also a star fielder managing a maiden over with 2 wickets. Thursday night’s game was played on Tuesday due to the public holiday and saw the XI Ducks thrashing the Short Fuses 6/170 to 9/121. The XI Ducks batted first, opening with Mitch Austin who managed to retire not out with 50 runs. Ben Austin also retired not out for 26 runs.
Neville Koch bowled well for the Short Fuses managing 2 wickets for 10 runs while Dom Pelusi bowling kept the scores down with 1/4. The Short Fuses batted in the second innings and thanks to Scott Bates, Dom Pelusi and Joe Brown were able to up their total with 20, 19 and 17 runs respectively. Jason Maunder for the XI Ducks had a ripper of a game with three wickets for 11 runs while Todd Hayne and Jayson Murphy both took 1/9.
Currently the KLAS Bouncers top the ladder with 13 points, followed by the Short Fuses on 11. The XI Ducks are next with 10 points while the Telegraph Slammers are on eight and the Royals are 5th with four points. Next week sees the Short Fuses take on the KLAS Bouncers while the XI Ducks are against the Royals, Telegraph Slammers have the bye.
