Tenterfield Commonwealrth Bank staff had a successful and enjoyable day spreading cheer for their annual clown doctor fundraising day on Friday, April 7. The effort raised $684 through the sales of more than seven dozen homemade cupcakes, a 100 Club (won by a lucky Kerri Ford), and fundraising at local schools.
The bank clown troupe was supplemented by five extra little clowns that came after school and helped out., namely Jade Sargeant and Jim, Indi, Will and Brock Brown. Steven Wartnaby and John Flint again helped out with the sausage sizzle.
Branch manager Debbie Minns said she appreciated the support of her staff who happily got involved, and that of the schools who got into the spirit, also contributing to the fundraising effort to support the Clown Doctors, aiming to serve all major children's hospitals seven days a week.
