Hit and miss against strong Gundi sides

Coach Bud is doing a great job with the Tiger Cubs (Under 7s and 8s) with all players on the improve. There’s plenty of ball movement in the U9s and defence is improving under the guidance of coach Chris Battersby. Vicky Zappa’s U10s side continues to compete hard each week and never stopped trying against a huge Gundi side.

The U11s narrowly went down, but a first-half hat-trick to Malik Wightman and strong running of Xavier Cusak were highlights. The U12s remain on top of the ladder with a 24-pint victory over their arch-rivals. Scott Koch said it was the best performance of the season so far with Tilly Mitchell a standout.

The leaguetag team had a convincing win against the defending premiers with a great team effort and all players encouraging and supporting each other. They’ve yet to have a point scored against them this season.

The U14s were down on numbers due to illness, and the boys were outgunned by a well-drilled Gundi side. Our rep players Issac, Luke and Minami led the way. Ethan Sweeney was missed on the day.

This Saturday the junior Tigers take on Suburbs at Rugby League Park in all grades, from 9am onwards.
