Stosur has started preparing for a quarter-final match-up with Latvia’s Jeļena Ostapenko at Roland Garros, Paris.
The Australian has progressed to the final 16 in the women’s singles draw.
Stosur secured her position with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win over American Bethanie Mattek-Sands on Friday night (Australian time).
Stosur is the last remaining male or female in the singles draw at this year’s French Open.
The 33-year-old is chasing her maiden title victory at Roland Garros.
In 2010, Stosur came agonisingly close, falling 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) in the final against Italian Francesca Schiavone.
