A quality draft of animals will go under the hammer at the annual Northern Limousin Breeders Sale set for Friday, August 4.
This year the multi vendor sale, which starts at noon, will showcase breeding stock from 12 vendors, who will offer a total of 33 bulls and 15 females.
All lots are vet checked prior to sale. Animals are inspected for docility, structure, weight, pregnancy status and obvious physical fertility abnormalities. Bulls are further guaranteed for docility, fertility and structure by the vendors, who are all members of the Limousin Assurance and BreedPlan.
Last year’s sale saw bulls top at $8000 twice, and average $4904. Top price bull honours were shared by vendors Jerome and Andrea Simpson, River View Limousins, Dorrigo, and the team at Quirindi High School, Quirindi.
The Wulf’s Yankee K689Y son was offered by River View Limousins and purchased by John and Tiffany Harris, Daxton Limousin stud, Gloucester. Meanwhile, The Hird Grand Jock K50, was purchased by Michael Bradfield, Caroona.
