Mr Connor’s contract with council will now cease at close of business on Tuesday, July 4 with council now to consider the recruitment process for his replacement.
“I wish Damien and his family every success in the future, and sincerely thank him for the tremendous job he has done in the 12 months he has been with the Tenterfield Shire”, Mayor Petty said in a statement.
“Particularly, on behalf of council I wish to thank Damien for his work in bringing forward a restructure of the organisation which will result in efficiencies and cost savings and provide council and the community with a good footing moving forward.”
