Live your life to the fullest

What’s your favourite show on Television?

This Sunday sees the start of a show called Australian Ninja Warrior.

It looks like an amazing show with really challenging obstacle courses.

I am particularly inspired by one of the contestants by the name of Lisa Parkes.

Her inspirational story begins when she was about to compete in the Aerobics World Championships in South Africa.

The day before completion she was involved in a car accident that resulted in a broken back and neck with no hope of ever walking again.

She decided that this was not the way her life would unfold and after six months of rehabilitation she learnt to walk again.

Lisa says "the mind is a powerful thing".

She is an inspiration of how to love life and make every moment count as if it was your last.

Australia’s first Ninja Warrior will have to know how to push through and beyond their own physical and emotional limits.

It has been said that you will have to give up a lot to win but the reality is that you will have to give up even more if you don’t push yourself to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Life can throw some hard obstacles at us and we can give in to them or we can decide that we are going to find a way around them.

For some people life seems very hard right now, so I want to remind you that in life we all need to find help to regroup just as Lisa did.

For others we are content to settle for a life that was never intended for us.

Very few of us are living life to the fullest.

God’s word says, “For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness, but of power and love and discipline.” (ASV)

2 Timothy 1:7 What can you do this week to set your feet in the right direction so that you can live life to the fullest? What do you need to work on to better yourself? I love what God says in Jeremiah.

(29:11) I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” (The Message)
