Team Macintyre – featuring Tenterfield players – is yet to suffer a loss at the time of writing, drawing against Western Downs and Warwick on Monday and scoring a win against Balonne Barwon in its first match on Tuesday.
Macintyre takes on South Burnett on Tuesday afternoon, followed by matches against Central Downs and Cunnamulla on Thursday, and Wynnum on Friday. There are no matches scheduled for Wednesday, rather an athletics carnival in the morning followed by the option of an NRL football clinic or a free afternoon to check out the local sights.
After the Friday morning matches there’ll be a City v Country match at 12.30pm for State of Origin honours, followed by the presentations.
Macintyre coach Dave Landers said the carnival has been a great success so far, with both the boys and girls in his team playing well. Junior Tiger Fletcher Koch has been a standout player for Macintyre.
